Cross playing is extremely useful when you want to compare your pronunciation with the voice of audio file.

While repeating a range, record your voice - then cross playing is activated.

Cross playing is released when Repeat Range or Recorded audio is released.

Or, you can record again with practicing your pronunciation and compare again.
