Listen & Speak

Cross Playing Cross playing is extremely useful when you want to compare your pronunciation with the voice of audio file. While repeating a range, record your voice - then cross playing is activated. Cross playing is released when Repeat Range or Recorded audio is released. Or, you can record again with practicing your pronunciation and compare again. Recording You can record your voice by clicking REC icon or press V of keyboard Recording icon shows it's recording.  .. Recording started ..  To stop recording, click Record icon or press V once again.   Recording icon shows it stopped recording,  and the recording is played automatically.  .. stopped Recording ..  The recording is played repeatedly until you click Recording icon or press button C again. Recording is repeated until you clear recording by clicking REC icon or pressing V of keyboard. Recording while audio file is loaded You can record while audio file is loaded and being played. This can be useful when you check your pronunciation as listening original pronunciation. If you release recording while you're playing main audio, main audio will be played. Or while you're repeating range, the repeat range will be continued to play. When recording is not working Listen & Speak uses your Mac's standa...

Set repeat range First, load a audio file to the top window. You can set repeat range by clicking Repeat Range button or pressing C of keyboard. Repeat range can be set even when the main audio is paused. Click Repeat Range button or press C where you want to start repeat. Repeat Range button indicates that the start point has been marked.     ..repeat range start set..   Click Repeat Range button or press C again where you want to set repeat end. Repeat Range button indicates that the repeat range has been set. ..repeat range end set..   Waveform of the repeat range is displayed in the sub window, and automatically begin to play. Of course you may pause playing with Space key. The range is repeated until released by clicking Repeat Range button or pressing C. By pressing Left or Right arrow key, you can release Range repeat. When released, the main audio is being played again. Enjoy Listen & Speak!

Hi! Here I would like to show you how to load media files to Listen & Speak and play with simple navigation. Load and Play First, click Click Open icon (or press ⌘O) When the file select dialog opens, choose your audio file and click Open. You can see the audio file is loaded and displayed as waveform on the top window Press Space of your keyboard (or click Space icon) to play and pause. Navigate Listen & Speak supports navigation with Slide bar or Left & Right arrow keys (over +/- 3 seconds). Click on any points of Side bar under the main window,  or Press Left or Right arrow (or click images on the screen).  This allows to jump for 3 seconds during play or in pause status.
